Positions & Movement for the last weeks of pregnancy through the pushing stage of labor.

Join The Fit Doula, Maddy Wasserman in movement and education to promote the ideal positioning for your baby as you approach birth. Learn how to move when in labor to promote progress and find positions to help you during the pushing stage of labor. A woman’s body is wise and would never grow a baby “too big” for her to birth. However, if baby is in a non ideal position this can make birth more complicated. The movements you make leading up to birth and throughout are quintessential.

We will:

  • Practice techniques to tone and relax your pelvic floor in preparation for the pushing stage of labor.

  • Study the 3R’s: Relaxation, Rhythm & Ritual- By Penny Simpkin

  • Learn creative ways to use your birthing place and partner to support you best.

  • Tips for getting better sleep in late pregnancy.

  • Suggestions for comfort items and foods to bring to your birth place.

Partners are encouraged to join! (no additional cost) Wear comfortable clothes you can move in.
