“Listen to your body.” “Do whatever feels good.” “Wear a heart rate monitor to make sure your heart rate doesn’t rise above 140.” “Go to prenatal yoga.” “Take it easy” .
Ever heard this advice?
We’ve heard it one too many times and decided to do something about it.
FPC workouts were designed by our resident pre/post natal corrective exercise specialist, backed up by the most up to date exercise science and based on the concepts of function movement in order to train the specific muscles a woman needs to have a stronger pregnancy, delivery and postpartum recovery. We are here to demystify all the fear mongering that accompanies exercising during pregnancy and breakdown the stereotype of only practicing prenatal yoga. We are here to start a pre/postnatal fitness revolution!
We can proudly say all of our instructors are truly experts in the pre/postnatal field and in addition to their specialized certifications, they add a diverse range of skills such as labor and postpartum doula’s, certified lactation consultants, and life long students of women’s health.
FPC believes in the importance of a small group setting during pregnancy. We never take more than 12 people per class to ensure everyone is getting the specified attention they need in addition to exposure to a social and fun environment. We understand the need for community during this stage of our lives as much as the need for a safe and effectively designed workout, a consistent exercise schedule, and the accountability factor for participating in exercise. We aim to offer an unintimidating environment where women can ask questions without judgement and get answers from professionals and from other women in the community.
In addition to a safe, challenging workout in a supportive enviornment, FPC is partnering up with other women driven brands to bring you fun, inspiring events and offers. Currently we carry Basq skincare, NineNaturals, BundleOrganics juices, FertileGirl superfood bars, and Seraphine Maternity.
This revolution is more than a fitness studio. Our goal is that every woman walks out of FPC feeling physically stronger and mentally empowered to take on womanhood while embracing motherhood.
